- Is the trial really free?
- Yes — the first merchant you create gets a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. Additional merchants you add to the same organization start in unpaid status and need to be subscribed before they can be used.
- What if I run more than one business?
- Each business is a separate merchant with its own books, wallets, and subscription. They live under one organization so you (or your accountant) can switch between them with one login. Bookkeeping data never crosses merchants — that's how an accounting tool should work.
- Can I use TxBooks outside the US?
- Yes. Pick your country in merchant settings (US, Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, or Other) and your reporting currency (USD, BRL, MXN, EUR, and more). Non-US merchants get a jurisdiction-neutral capital gains report — per-lot disposal records in your local currency. Hand it to your local accountant; they'll map it to your country's filing (IRPF, Modelo 100, etc.). We don't provide tax advice or file forms on your behalf.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Cancel from your billing settings; you keep access until the end of your current period. Each merchant cancels independently.
- Why Bitcoin only?
- TxBooks is built for the way Bitcoin actually works — on-chain plus Lightning, with proper merchant tooling. Multi-asset would force compromises everywhere. We may add other assets later, but Bitcoin merchants are the focus.
- Do you store my private keys?
- No. We only ingest read-only data: CSVs, xpub watching keys, BTCPay webhooks. Private keys never enter the system. Wallet addresses, xpubs, and webhook secrets are AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest.
- Can I switch between monthly and yearly later?
- Yes — change plans any time from your billing settings.
